Smokey Moo is a specialty American BBQ style smoked beef licensed restaurant located in the external dining precinct of the Gasworks Plaza in Newstead, Brisbane, and they put love into everything they do.
Their vision is to carve their amazing low and slow BBQ smoked meat in front of our customers in an open kitchen.
All of their specialty beef cuts, brisket, pastrami, ribs and beef cheeks, are smoked to perfection ‘the Chef’s way’ – tender, juicy, and falling off the bone.
Their meat cuts, Brisket, Pastrami, Short Ribs and Beef Cheeks are the finest quality grain fed Wagyu, marble score 8/9+ and full blood Angus, sourced directly from Australian farmers in Queensland and Northern NSW.
Their famous pastrami is cured in house for 3 weeks in a salt brine before it is fresh smoked and cooked low'n'slow.
Their house specialty Smokey Moo Jus is a French reduction sauce, made using the meat pan juices and reduced 5-6 hours alone.
Everything is cooked fresh in-house 4-12 hours in our amazing smoker we imported from the United States.
They can smoke up to 250kg meat in one smoke. They carve their meat after it has been cooked, not before as with steaks, offering our customers the best product and value possible.
Their menu offers gluten friendly, halal & dairy free options. They also regularly cater for special dietary needs customers.
