The QLD Government has announced an end to the lockdown earlier than planned, finishing at midday today.
There are some restrictions that will remain in place as per below.

From 12pm (midday) AEST Thursday 1 April 2021 to Thursday 15 April 2021:

  • You must carry a face mask at all times and wear indoors, unless you have a lawful reason not to.
  • You can leave your home for any purpose. 
  • Restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs can only open for seated eating and drinking, no standing allowed.
  • Hospitality businesses must keep an electronic customer register.
  • Customers must check into venues and provide their contact details.

Please be aware that trading hours will vary from store to store. Please contact the store directly to confirm opening hours. 

We continue to remain diligent in our cleaning processes, focussing on key areas such as hard surfaces and bathrooms. Additionally, we have hand sanitisers located at all entrances for customers and retailers to utilise. We’ve also increased signage and additional security to ensure physical distancing, the wearing of masks and other government measures continue to be observed by everyone.

Gasworks Plaza is closely monitoring COVID-19 and the advice of state and national health authorities in relation to infectious diseases.

Gasworks Plaza has remained open throughout this period to provide essential services to the community and the health and safety of everyone who visits the centre remains our priority.
Our food court is open, with the ability to accommodate 1 person for every 2 sqm seated at any one time, tables will be 1.5 metres apart and physical distancing practises still apply. Restaurants and cafes are now also open for dining services; however, customer number restrictions apply, and contact tracing may be required. 
Some businesses are required to collect contact information for contact tracing purposes for a period of 56 days. (This is not required for takeaway or home delivery).

For each patron, this information must include:
  • Full name
  • Phone number
  • Email address (residential address if unavailable)
  • Date and time period of patronage

We are working hard to ensure a visit to Gasworks Plaza remains a safe and welcoming experience. We have remained diligent in our cleaning processes and through our service providers, we have placed additional focus on key areas such as hard surfaces, food courts and bathrooms and all AMP Capital managed assets have facilities in place to support our customers and tenants to practise good hygiene, such as hand sanitisers. We’ve also increased signage and security to ensure physical distancing and other government measures continue to be observed by everyone.  

Our stores have signs at entry points to instruct customers not to enter if they are unwell or have COVID19 symptoms. Each business has the right to refuse service and must insist that anyone with these symptoms leaves the premises. Where practically possible, retailers have set up separate exit and entry points to minimise contact.
We can all help slow the spread of COVID-19 in Australia. To protect others and when visiting the centre you must:
  • practise good hygiene
  • stay home if you are unwell
  • wash your hands frequently with soap and water, before and after eating, and after going to the toilet
  • cover your cough and sneeze, dispose of tissues, and use alcohol-based hand sanitiser
  • practise physical distancing - stay more than 1.5 metres apart
  • follow the limits for public gatherings
  • understand how to self-isolate if you need to
We will continue to monitor this issue and if there is any change in advice, we will notify our valued retailers and customers as appropriate.
